A few days ago, I was teaching my Opening YOUR Heart To Animals workshop and emphasising how important it is to hold a positive picture in your mind when giving healing. I then went on to explain about the creative power or energy in every thought, word and action that we take. We are the creators of our own reality.

Yesterday I was out with a friend and we met a duck. This duck was exceptionally beautiful; she is a Muscovy duck with feathers from white through all shades of cream, coffee and chocolate. As my friend got out her camera, we were telling the duck how beautiful she was. At this point, the duck stretched her wings to show us the extent of her loveliness and began wiggling her way to a water bowl. She loved our admiration. I could tell she totally agreed with us!

Whilst she was drinking and we were admiring, an elderly man came out of his cottage to the garden gate where the three of us were standing. He told us that we were in the presence of Clara. His delight in our admiration of her connected us all as he told us how she slept in his garden and had been known to make herself at home in the kitchen too.

This encounter probably lasted no more than 5 minutes but it added so much joy to my day, to my friend’s and I’m sure to the old man’s. Clara seemed very happy too.

Expressing our delight, our gratitude and our enjoyment only creates more of the same. Try affirming, “I AM LIVING IN JOY” each day. Do it for 21 days and you will have re calibrated your thought process and you will be enjoying yourself.

We all have experiences and situations that can, if we allow them, bring us down or fill us with fear. These are not “bad” experiences. These are our chance to walk our talk, to put into practice our positive thinking, speaking and behaving. Let’s face it; anyone can be full of joy and optimism when everything seems to be going just fine. The point about creating our own reality is that we can always choose how to react in any given situation.

Holding the vision of what we choose and using similarly aligned language does turn the tide.

So, I wish you joy today, tomorrow, the day after, the day after that . . . Try the 21 days and I’d love to hear how you get on.
